Copy Editor and Production Coordinator

Edit and create printed monthly newsletters and event calendars for 17 senior living and healthcare communities across 5 states.
- Revise, edit, and proofread content that is provided by the managed communities to include in newsletters and calendars
- Check copy for spelling and grammatical errors
- Write clear and persuasive copy and headlines for newsletters and calendars
- Lay content out into pre-designed templates
Manage timelines and quality of deliverables by collaborating with external vendors and team members across the country.
- Work with designers, production artist, printers, and production companies to complete the production and delivery of newsletters and calendars to the managed communities
- Ensure production stays on schedule
- Ensure final files are shared with the web developer for uploading to the websites and for email campaigns

Manage the creative process through conception, design, and production for all printed assets across the organization.
- Collaborate with administration, departments, and committees to develop designs that adhere to the organization’s brand per industry best practice guidelines
- Create printed media including mailers, newsletters, flyers, postcards, brochures, ads, and billboards
- Obtain quotes, maintain inventory, and manage distribution of all marketing materials to meet deadlines and budgets
Develop and design digital assets to create a cohesive online presence for the organization.

- Incorporate physical decor that is cohesive to event theme (boutonnieres, floral arrangements, hand-lettered gift boxes, and vinyl record “mission wall”)
- Foster and maintain relationships with various event vendors to ensure economically efficient and high quality outcomes
- Prioritize day-of flow sheets and cue-to-cue scripts to maximize communication between vendors and staff
- Provide support and mentorship to Gala Committee volunteers through regular meetings, design collaboration, and event setup
- Strengthen Gala silent auction outcomes with item solicitation, certificate design, and visual presentation
